The Ackalyte BaseTee is a long-range LED controller and carrier board designed for the Teensy 3.6, expanding upon the Teensy’s features by providing Ethernet, quad-channel audio, a USB-A connector for host applications, and up to 15 single-ended and long range LED channels.
The LED controller supports Artnet ethernet lighting protocol via a standard pre-loaded image and can also run standalone/custom lighting code along with a wide range of Arduino scripts.
Teensy pins are also broken out to Arduino-style headers, providing a means for taking advantage of the Teensy’s IO and Analog inputs, further enhancing the user’s possibilities
The BaseTee utilizes Ackalyte's LED drive library. 15 OUTPUTS can be updated simultaneously with at least 1 universe per output, making this platform a powerful tool for LED installation projects. Also, when used in conjunction with Ackalyte LED power modules, LED data can be transmitted more than 100m over standard CAT5 and CAT6 cables.
Smart switching enables the BaseTee to be powered by via micro USB-B or standard DC barrel jack at voltages ranging from 6V - 25V DC.
